Draw Poker Requirement

The first requirement of this poker game is to “ante,” which means that a previously agreed upon amount of money is placed on the table by each player. This serves the dual purpose of giving each player an incentive to win and at the same time helps to eliminate the problem of the proverbial quitter who always folds unless he instantly draws four to a royal flush.

Next, five cards are dealt to each player face down and it is time to determine who is going to open the betting and then who is going to “call” (match the bet) or raise it.
