Paigow Poker

Paigow Poker

Pai Gow Poker is a dealt with a standard 52 card deck and one Joker. Each player is dealt seven (7) cards. The object of the game is to make two (2) poker hands. One of the two hands is made up of five cards (called the High Hand), the other is the two card hand, (called the Low Hand). The five card hand must be better then the two card hand... for instance.., let’s assume that in the seven cards there are two (2) pairs... a pair of 10’s and a pair of 9’s. You can play both pairs in the high hand if you wish or you can split the pairs. You cannot however put the pair of 10’s in the low hand because your high hand must be better than the low hand. The Joker is counted as either an Ace or to complete a flush or a straight. The Joker is not a universal wild card. You will see the dealer shake a dice cup with three (3) dice in it Paigow Poker.

Holdem Poker

Holdem Poker

You wouldn’t think that any poker game in which you only get two cards of your own would be very difficult or challenging, but until you’ve played Texas hold’em you can’t imagine its permutations and complexity. To the uninitiated, hold’em looks like seven-card stud, with a few differences. In the end, however, the only thing that’s the same is that the hands are made up of the best five of seven cards. The critical differences begin with the starting hand. While this is always an important decision, it is not nearly as critical in hold’em as it is in seven-card stud. The decisions you make on the later streets make much more of a difference in your overall success in hold’em Holdem Poker.

The first requirement of this poker game is to “ante,” which means that a previously agreed upon amount of money is placed on the table by each player. This serves the dual purpose of giving each player an incentive to win and at the same time helps to eliminate the problem of the proverbial quitter who always folds unless he instantly draws four to a royal flush. Next, five cards are dealt to each player face down and it is time to determine who is going to open the betting and then who is going to “call” (match the bet) or raise it. The general rule is that it takes a pair of Jacks or better to open. This is when you have to exercise caution and have the necessary knowledge to make an accurate analysis of the odds Draw Poker.

Jacks or better is the basic video poker game. One of the first to come out, it’s considered something of a video poker standard. The full-pay version is known as 9/6 jacks or better, meaning the payback (with one coin in) for a full house is 9 coins and for a flush is 6 coins. Sad to say, there are not a lot of them outside of Las Vegas. Full-pay jacks or better has a return percentage of 99.5%. It’s not a positive game; as we’ve seen, the casino has a .5% advantage. But because it’s readily available in Vegas arid a lot of other video poker variations are derived from it, I also consider it the standard. Often you get enough cash back from the slot club or a promotion to make jacks or better an over 100% game. Video Poker

Seven-stud was the game that night. He had mastered many of the finesses and applied a comprehensive set of minimum calling and raising standards. But his luck was terrible. By the time the game broke up at eleven, almost an hour earlier than usual, Bobby was losing all but $700 of his bankroll. Then Bill Hickle suggested they play heads-up. The play free poker game was ace-to-five lowball. For about an hour they stayed almost even. Stud Game
